Color

The iris is one of the flowers offering the greatest diversity of colors in the world. Each shade evokes an emotion, a light, a season. In Greek mythology, Iris is the goddess of the rainbow and the messenger of the gods. She bridges heaven and earth, making color a language, a connection between worlds. It is this symbolism that inspires the Iris collection by Maison Merveille. Entirely hand-sculpted, each candlestick is born from meticulous modeling, where every petal is shaped one by one. The glaze research then reveals an infinite palette of shades, making each piece a unique creation.

A graduate of the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, Marion Benoit moves between photography, ceramics, and painting. She is based in the southwest of France, where she develops her artistic practice within her ancestral home, which she has named Merveille.
Her work draws from intimate narratives and family archives, intertwined with observations of everyday life. Through her pieces, she examines the place of the domestic in our society, explores the roles assigned to women, and questions the conventions surrounding intimacy.

Marion creates her own glazes, develops unique recipes, and cultivates a balance between technical precision and creative chance. Sensitive to traditional craftsmanship and a practitioner of meditation, her work inhabits a symbolic universe where mythology, memory, and sensuality freely converse.
